Kyle McDermott, of Poplar Close, Mexborough.
The incident happened at around 6pm, September 11 2006, when Kyle was riding his bike along Maple Road, at Mexborough.
He was in collision with a white, new-style, Ford transit van, which failed to stop at the scene.
Kyle suffered serious injuries in the impact, which later proved fatal.
Kyle was the most beautiful, caring, funny, energetic, cheeky little boy you could ever wish to meet, a proper little lad.
Some of his favourite things were playing with his friends, because he had so many, watching The Simpsons, going on holiday with Nan & Gogs, playing on his play station & computer, listening & jumping around to the Red hot chilli peppers, making people laugh, practicing with his bow & arrow, making weapons from his lego, protecting his friends, & running faster than anyone else.
Some things he didnt like were getting in the bath, getting dressed on the weekends, going shopping, anything that had mushrooms in, & home work.
